No, my kids won't eat dried fruit - but maybe they'll eat a cut up apple!

Yael, I wish you would sometimes write a little something in English on your blog! I'll have to ask you to guest-post again. I'd love to hear about the seder at the matnas.

Leora, will your kids eat dried fruit? That's the simplest thing to do for them.

Lovely - thanks for the ideas. I know my kids will eat wheat, but I'm wondering what else they will eat. I like that Tu B'Shvat falls on Shabbat - our Sephardi synagogue is going to have a little seder as part of the kiddush that week.

Your tajine recipe looks lovely - the adults will at least enjoy that.

Tu B’Shvat falls so early this year....
Last year we had a very nice Tu B’Shvat seder in the Matnas where I am active in an ecological group. That matnas by the way is only for middle aged people and up,no kids and teenagers there, and we have had some nice things there every holiday. The my ecological group is part of a bigger group (we are 15 all together) that is divided into 2 groups;the ecological one and hithadsut haJehudit. I come from from a mesorati background (although I am not really that today anymore....) and it has been very interesting to see how some completely secular people in my group are slowly becoming involved with holidays and customs, albeit in a way different from the traditional way. This Tu B’Shvat we will again have something in the matnas, so I guess I will be there.
